For my final rating, from a general perspective I’d give it 2 stars out of 4.
But for it’s entertainment value and fun factor, it’s gets a generous 3 out 4 stars.

Wow, this was an Awesomely bad movie, so entertaining. I t ranks up there with movies like “The Room”, “Troll 2″, and other craptacular movies that are so bad they rock. I’m sad that this was the last film to feature J. Carrol Naish and Lon Chaney Jr., but what helps this movie is the music for the opening, the rest was from other Universal Monster movies obviously, Dracula’s silly yet somewhat creepy dialogue, and Chaney’s facial expressions. Not the best but definently not the worst.

@AmericanEvita There’s also more creative individuality featured in these low-budget indipendent horror flicks,.. wheres those big budget Hollywood movies are very homogenous and sterile. They also have a kind of weird dreamlike quality at times.

voluminoushead888 December 3, 2011 at 6:04 pm

@star4lyfe1 Oh, “acting” my ass! What do you realy know or care about it, huh? Like everybody featured in todays big-budget Hollywood shit is a Sir Laurence O’livier or Meryl Streep I take it? You just dont dig these old low-budget flicks cause they dont have enough curently hot big-name celebrities in their casts, computer effects, guns, car chases, explosions, rap music on their soundtracks, and big silicone tits on every female. Thats what these flicks realy lack for you.

spyroxxm December 3, 2011 at 6:16 pm

@star4lyfe1 But EVERY movie becomes old dear! Your favorite movies will be old too in another thirty years ( you DO already know THAT , right ? ), so we’ll just see how THEY hold up THEN. Personaly, I dont care what year a movie was made in,.. as long as it’s entertaining to watch.

I just love a bad movie! The campier, cornier, lower-budget the better….great stuff….this movie is actually right now 100 times better than current Hollywood movie s which are the real trash…at least B horror movies have heart :) We know they did it for fun and to tell a story and not to make millions of bucks

AmericanEvita December 3, 2011 at 7:01 pm

@supermandarrel You miss the 70′s but I miss the 80′s

star4lyfe1 December 3, 2011 at 7:40 pm

these actors don’t even know how to act, some low bugdet actors

star4lyfe1 December 3, 2011 at 8:35 pm

who would even watch such an old movie, ite seems so boring…i would rather watch the latest version (dont know if there is any new 1) of Frankenstein

bwild61 December 3, 2011 at 8:48 pm

A cult classic no doubt…

buzilow December 3, 2011 at 9:24 pm

I remember his name as the wolfman, Lawrance Talbot. by todays standards the old 40′s and 50′s style of wolfman is ancient. but good back then.
