High-powered sales exec Bobby Walker (Academy-Award®-winner Ben Affleck) is living the American dream: great job, beautiful family, and shiny Porsche in the garage. But when corporate downsizing leaves him and co-workers Phil Woodward (Academy-Award®-winner Chris Cooper) and Gene McClary (Academy-Award®-winner Tommy Lee Jones) jobless, he must redefine his life as a man, a husband and a father. Bobby soon finds himself enduring enthusiastic life coaching, a job building houses for his brother-in-law (Academy-Award®-winner Kevin Costner) that does not play to his executive skill set, and - perhaps -- the realization that there is more to life than chasing the bigger, better deal. This process of firing a workforce to inflate the profit margins and manipulate the resulting rise in stock prices is an old story. Also an old story, how this hurts, and even ruins, peoples’ lives. Sometimes the upper end of the org chart. It is a fragile plot suspended over a yawning pit of the obvious: some fireproof guys got a taste of their own slash & burn tactics. If we are sorry for them, it is a reflection on us and our decency–not on theirs.

You are pretty naive to think people who just got laid off their jobs would immediately start looking for a bunch of union thug workers to start a new company that clearly didn’t have a market to sell their products..that was dumbest ending to a movie that I have ever witnessed..Only dumbass, naive, lib like yourself could buy into to that kind of ending..What an idiot you are!
